Celeste First Fitting

So on tuesday I had my first fitting for Celeste. I'm beginning to almost be comfortable in fittings, helped when you get a little praise ('Oh you are SO MUCH better this year, last you were rubbish'....thanks Kat)

So yea not to many alterations really, obvious ones: shifting the shoulder, making the armhole bigger, fitting the sleeve, adjusting the collar. Already got practically everything cut and tacked in top fabric, so thats nice.

Celeste Toile Construction!

Woo! I am essentially ready for my fitting on tuesday! Just have one stand collar and a waistband to go and I am done!

So here is what Celeste looks like at the moment. At first blush I would definitely say that I don't think the lapel/collar works and that the sleeves are too wide...but we shall see!

Mother's Day 2009

I'm not one who believes in Mother's Day, however, since this year both me and the bradre have moved out, I figured Madre needed some new monsters round the house
I was gonna give them features and clothes etc, but once I'd added the eyes I kinda liked them the way they were


As for everything else:

Finished all my underwear for Negotiated and drawn up my skirt patterns. Tomorrow I'm going to get all my pieces cut out and made up ready to fit on the stand on Monday. Also I have to get some more work done on my hat.

I've written 1060 words of my POP essay....today! Excellent times!

Moonfleet: I made a mock up of my waistcoat and it worked! Now I just need to do the same with my trousers, another plan for tomorrow

And I managed to escape from Her Mother's Eyes! Even more excellent. I've also organised a Tudor project, being made for an actor/educator apparently. Has to be used for both Eliz 1 and Anne Boleyn...I'm quite excited to do that.
